   Providing a hands-on session for Sports Medicine students to learn and practice the skills that are in the competition portion. Will go over all the taping/wrapping proficiencies and then they will have time to practice. At the end of the session they will have the time to ask questions and talk about relevant topics to sports medicine and athletic training

   This session will be geared toward highlighting clinical palpation skills and assessment of joint motions of the human body. These skills are foundational for those interested in a Physical Therapy, Sports Management, Occupational Therapy, or Medical Physician careers. Learn with your hands how to assess the human body in a fun, relaxed and educational session.

Biotechnology: Looking at DNA FULL

Attendees must have prior knowledge of (be competent and proficient with)with micropipetting. Attendees will use PCR to amplify DNA and gel electrophoresis to identify DNA in order to identify food that contain GMO corn. (Attendees will have a session from 2-3pm, a break from 3-4pm, and then return from 4-5pm)

With guidance, participants explore the specific 5 W's of a given topic then add creative imagery and emotion to the topic to practice engaging an audience. They practice posture and control of gestures and facial expressions to create a professional look. Finally, they practice correct pronunciation of often mispronounced words. Great application for many of the Leadership competitive events, in particularly: Prepared Speaking, Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking, and Speaking Skills.
