Z-Discs, I & A Bands, sarcomeres and ADP, there is a lot to muscle physiology! Using your own body as a lab is a great way to learn A&Px In this session we will use Nitrile exam gloves and markers to learn the physiology of skeletal muscles work and you will have a take home set to teach others how muscles work!

Students will learn about an innovative research project that promotes community collaboration from one of the health centers selected to implement the Food is Medicine initiative in Southeast Kansas. With student participation and storytelling, we will better understand the intersection of nutrition-related chronic diseases, access to healthy foods, and healthcare systems.
