About me
“When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.” — Walt Disney
Entering the Healthcare Science classroom his freshman year, Cameron was nervous about being in a new school but excited to learn more about his future career. Discovering HOSA felt like finding a second family; he quickly became best friends with his HOSA advisor and immersed himself in learning everything he could about the organization. His passion for HOSA grew from there. Everyone in HOSA has a story that drives their dedication to becoming a health professional. For Cameron, the motivation comes from witnessing the powerful impact his peers make daily. Cameron’s favorite aspect of HOSA is networking—meeting members from around the world, hearing their HOSA stories, learning about different healthcare systems, and understanding the global differences in healthcare. Cameron recently completed his term as the Georgia HOSA State President, where he loved representing members of Georgia. Outside of HOSA, Cameron plays the flute and piccolo, enjoys hiking, and loves traveling around the country. This year, Cameron is a freshman at Berry College in Northwest Georgia, double majoring in Biology and Political Science. His ultimate goal is to become a cardiothoracic surgeon and work in healthcare policy. He plans to participate in Mock Trial and work as a Certified Medical Assistant. Cameron looks forward to the Washington Leadership Academy and attending conferences as the Secondary Board Representative. His biggest goal this year is to bond with members on a deeper level and to serve HOSA’s membership by actively creating channels of communication and prioritizing the members’ vision. This year, Cameron plans to focus on the future, embrace change, and, most importantly, prioritize the membership.
